GENEVA, NY – FLREMSC Chairperson (Erin Reese) and Program Agency Director (John VanAuker) recognized the accomplishments of several EMS and pre-hospital personnel Friday February 21, 2025 during the 1st Annual FLREMSC Awards Banquet held at the 41 Lakefront Hotel in Geneva, NY. The nominees were submitted by their peers and chosen by the FLREMSC staff.
Finger Lakes Ambulance employees Kirsten Hurlburt (Paramedic) and Medical Director Dr. Scott Glick, were among those chosen to receive awards.
2024 ALS Provider of the Year Award – Kirsten Hurlburt who has been an employee with FLA for 2 years, started her career in EMS as an EMT-B at NEQ/Webster. Kirsten worked to achieve her EMT-P at Monroe Community College in 2021. Kirsten works hard, has a good attitude and is always willing to help her team.
2024 Physician of the Year Award – FLA’s Medical Director Dr. Scott Glick has been with Finger Lakes Ambulance for 8 years. Dr. Glick is dedicated to helping people in multiple capacities. Dr. Glick’s background is vast and encompasses EMS, Fire, Law Enforcement and In- Hospital care. Dr. Glick regularly answers calls with FLA as well as his home fire department in Oaks Corners, NY.
Finger Lakes Ambulance is grateful for it’s dedicated employees and the medical direction of Dr. Scott Glick. Recognition of excellent employees is crucial as FLA pushes forward in their quest for excellence in teamwork driven, patient focused care.
